I recently noticed the bottom of my MdC jar showing through while still having a ton of soap up along the sides. I just moved the soap from the sides to the center & this is the result. With 101 uses I can definitely see about another 50 still left in this pot.

From the inside it looks to be about mid-lettering on the label. Keep in mind that I'm a heavy loader & have hard water. Most others in better conditions could possibly get twice the life that I'll get.

Why waste time on poor shaves? Enjoy them to the fullest. MdC!

The longevity of this soap sounds pretty impressive, Brian. I guess this compensates in part for the relatively higher 'price of admission'. Smile

That's not too bad Brian; slightly more than 2 pots per year. That will tell you how many you can buy to save $ on shipping while not overloading the storage area with too much.

Ack! I just started on a jar each of scented and fougere. One shave each so far. Three tins of Mike's coming at the end of the week and two pucks of MWF just received last week too. I guess I'm set for four years...although B&M keeps going through my head!

You got your monies worth out of that jar Brian. If shipping is the same, I would order 3 at a time. If not, just two.

how long do you load for again? a full minute?

my loading time for most soaps is about 20-30 seconds. gives plenty of lather for 4-5 passes on my favourite products.

yet to try MdC but i plan on getting some as soon as i finish a product or two

My first shave with it I did eight swirls and got two passes. Next I increased to 15 and got three plus. It's amazing how little is used.

I load pretty much all other soaps for 45-60s. MdC I load for 20-30s. Many people I read about load it for only 10-15s. I also don't mess around when it comes to loading. I get down to business eating up that soap in 30s. I'm not rough, mind you, but that badger is moving furiously to fill up with soap.

I load my brush for about 15 seconds. Plenty enough for my normal 2 pass and touch up. I have been using it 2-3 times a week since Father's Day. Barely scratched the surface. It just seems to last forever. It's crazy how little product is needed to get a truly superior shave. I could use it exclusively. Everyone grumbles about the shipping cost of this soap. Most that try it are willing to pay it again. It's worth every penny.
