Hello fellow members, I thought I might like to share my delight....... as a member of ForoAfeistado forum my latest brush.

Today I received my ForoAfeistado LE 2013 No:10 horn shaving brush out of a limited run of 50. It is absolutely stunning, and is a pleasure too own.

Some spec's: Overall length (OL) Handle length (HL) Handle Dia (HD) Loft height (LH) Knot size (K) Weight g (W).

OL= 105.5mm, HL=51.0mm, HD=38.6mm, LH=48.0mm not including the 3mm ring, K=25.1mm, W=77g.

The hair grade used is 3band SilverTip HD high density knot, and beautiful soft white tips, the handle material chosen was horn and it's a delight to see. The colouring is fabulous, enjoy the photographs......

The colour of the engraving came out at the first lather, but what the heck, it doesn't matter, I actually prefer it that way Cool

Emanuel, so the engraving is indented similar to the Semogue LE/SE brushes? I also don't mind if the coloring disappears, as long as the writing/engraving remains. Biggrin

These brushes are truly beautiful ... I love how they are similar yet different in terms of hues and grain.

Please share post-bloom photos when you have a chance!

Yes, it really is indented.
The colour vanished, but the engraving remains, so no problem for me. Cool

Dumb me, I couldn't find the list to get on it in the first place.

I gave myself a consolation prize.

Beautiful brush though. Classically stunning.

Ravi of all my Horn shaving brush's I highly recommend using Neats Foot Oil.

Beware of some brands as these are not 100% pure Neats Foot Oil. the one I have always used is from a company called: Tandy Leather Factory based in Fort Worth Texas. I a 118ml bottle. UK price approx £9.60p. A little goes a long way.

The unknown brands contain: Spirits DO NOT USE

Use only 2 /3 times a year. instructions: soak a tissue lightly wipe over or if very dry leave the soaked tissue on overnight.

As for my Ivory brush's, I use Vegetable Glycerine Oil again 2 / 3 times a year.

Hope this helps.

That's what I use on all my horn handled brushes, 100% pure neatsfoot oil.
The bottle that I use is made by Craft Japan. So far, so good. Cool

Charles, congratulations on a wonderful acquisition.

Ravi, as stated already Neats Foot Oil is all I use on my genuine horn handles. As for my Ivory ones, I don't use anything.
