Hi lads,I have NEVER met anyone who is not suprised and more often than not dissapointed in how their own voice sounds.Me, for example, when I hear my voice on tape I think I sound the dopiest, thickest person on the face of the Earth, but other people tell me that it sounds fine, but I'm still unsure,as it's such a shock to how you THOUGHT you sounded to yourself.
I have often wondered what Richard Burton thought when he first heard his,as he was known to have such a great speaking voice, was even HE let down by how it sounded to himself.
I look forward to hearing other peoples views.
Thanks.
Sam.

I'm definitely with you on this one, Sam. (Does that mean I'm back to getting a full glass of red wine if I visit. Biggrin )

They are telling you it is fine so that they do not hurt your feelings.

Sam, "hearing voices" isn't bad. It's when you start talking back that you need to start worrying. Biggrin

To your meaning; I would totally agree. Many years ago, I thought I had a rather pleasant voice and medium tone, then I found myself on stage with a tape recorder. What an awakening.

Fortunately I was young and learned.

You are welcome Geordie.

Well when I listen to my voice in my head it is not half bad but, I try not to listen to myself on a recording.

Never did like the sound of my voice recorded. Never had any problems using it when it was necessary though! Biggrin

Here's my No.1 and No.2 picks.
