Hi lads,I was watching a tv docu a few years ago where they read out a quote from someone about how "the youth of today are lazy, feckless and foul mouthed and how they show no respect to their parents or elders" and you were led to believe that this quote had just been recently said, but in actual fact it was from the writings of some old monk back in about the 14th century. My point being,is that we think bad manners and ignorance are a fairly recent thing, but clearly each generation has taken it down another notch to eventually arrive at where we are today.God knows what people will be like in another 500 years time, but they might just be reading this,so BE NICER WITH EACH OTHER.
Sam.

Gordie, that so an interesting post. Each generation I am sure has always thought that. I know I do today.

“Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders and love chatter in place of exercise; they no longer rise when elders enter the room; they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers.”
- Socrates (c. 469 BC–399 BC)

Nothing has changed since the beginning of time.

Babies crap their pants, early teenage years they all loose their brains, later teenage years they know more than anyone, adulthood they crap their pants again when they realize Mom and Dad were right.
