Any suggestions on where to get brush handles? Although I appreciate custom, artisan type handles, I'm looking more for reasonably priced standard shapes and sizes similar to those that come with retail brushes. Thanks.

If I remember correctly The Golden Nib has handles too. Or you can locate some old brushes and restore them.

Yup, TGN has handles as already stated.

Check with Oscar11 also. I've found his quality to be outstanding and his prices reasonable for a custom handle. He'll turn to your specs.

I have a question to go along with this thread. Anyone know a good source for custom blank stock? Seems like the minimum orders are always 5000 pieces, and I'd rather not become a wholesaler of resin rods...

I sent him a pm and he never responded, so I assumed he didn't do requests. Is there a better way to contact him?

Steve (oscar11) is no longer taking orders for handles. i hope he doesn't mind me saying this, but you guys should know. This is what he has informed me, so i wouldn't bother contacting him. He is really busy with his regular job. It is very unfortunate as he makes some of the best handles i have seen!

Sorry for throwing you a curve ball. I didn't know he wasn't making handles anymore. That's a loss.

Try contacting Curt of Fat River Trading (available on etsy), maybe?

He makes custom handles, but doesn't charge a huge premium.

I've had him make me several brushes now, and I have nothing but nice things to say about him and his products.
