This razor plus a few extras came my way via a very nice gentleman from Indiana in the USA thanks Marcos, as many of you would have seen in the BST section this was the razor that I eventually traded against the Heljestrand Le Duc, well all I can say I'm over the moon with the trade, here we have a NOS Eiko ysk.2 Yasuki.steel-S2 13/16, shave ready as well always a bonus when that happens, going to give her a shave Sunday.

The scales have a very distinctive color and natural pattern ... I'm assuming they're plastic? Beautiful workmanship.

Thanks David and Ravi, there is a natural pattern in the scales and even though the quality of the razor is as you would expect from any high end Japanese razor I would say David this razor wouldn't make it into my top 5, but it's still a super razor all the same.

Looks can be deceptive, Jamie. I'm guessing it's a 13/16? Most are.

I was thinking about a visit to Japan but now I think I will just come to the UK. I can look at nice Japanese razors and speak english at the same time.

Thank you everyone for your comments, Celestino strangely enough even though the Kamisori is the most traditional and honest of razors, to be honest I just don't have much looks for it never have, I just love the quality and finish of western style Japanese straights plus the way the shave they are very much like pea's in a pod, now I'm on the look out for a King Pelican or an Hyashi Diamond, not having a great deal of luck finding the ones I want.
