Perfect example of how our B/S/T thread is viewed by many newcomers. Joined to sell.  Sad

Sometimes newcomers are not aware of this requirement, i.e. may not have read the BST rules.
Every forum/group is different, so I like to assume positive intent.

TSN is getting far too complicated. What happened to the forum where we could simply and leisurely exchange shaving experiences?  We are at a point to where we will critique B/S/Ts?  Are we getting to the point where we will start charging, for example, $4.00 to do a B/S/T as another forum did? For me, I yearn for the more simple, laid back TSN.

I don't sweat the small stuff, I'm having fun with it.  After all, it is the internet, what can be serious about the Internet other than Ashley Madison? 24

Yes, this rule has been in place almost the entire time that TSN has existed .. and it's quite simple really.
There has never been talk here of any sort of fees for BST, so I'm not sure why this thought should even arise.

The date of the first post is not necessarily important.  Just the trending of some posts on TSN.

I'm with Ravi, I'll give the member the benefit of the doubt because not everybody read the rules, even I didn't read them at the beginning.

But to join just for the sake of selling, then yes, go to Ebay.  Not only that, but the BST is based on trust, if I don't know you and you don't participate, chances are you are not going to get my business.

As a new member -- and an old (in years, and shaving experience) serious shaver -- I appreciate the rules, and have no difficulty with them.   I suppose it will take me a few weeks to build up a history of posts, but I do enjoy reading the posts, participating in the conversation, and being part of a devoted and enthusiastic community.   I have bought, and I suppose I will sell after a while, but -- particularly at my age -- I am in no great hurry to engage in transactions.   Much better to engage in conversations.

Many thanks to all for maintaining the Shave Nook, and for participating.   I feel privileged to be a part of it.

Best wishes from Katonah, NY  (northern Westchester county)

Stanley
