Hi Guys,

So who gets a shave from the barber who cuts their hair? or do you use another barber or even go to another shop.

I have not had a good barber shave in the past 25 years. The small town country barber I use to go to in Decatur, TX gave me a shave every Saturday morning.

I have not done the Barber Shave Thing yet.

I do know that there are a couple of Barber Shops out on the West Coast that do that but, I never seem to have the time to go.

The closest I can find over here is a hairdresser that also trims beards - usually not very well Undecided

Would love experiencing a proper shave by a proper barber at least once...

My barber that just retired use to straight razor the back of my neck. He stopped doing shaves because no one asked for one. I am waiting for Imperial Shaving, aka straight razor designs, to start giving straight razor shaves. They have the space and I think are getting close to opening that part up. That will be my first barber shave.

Most of the barbers I have gone to do the straight razor edging. Its pretty much. And now I go to a barbershop in Harvard Square where they actually have a brush (Omega Pro 49) and cream (couldn't see, but I don't think its Proraso) for the lather, as opposed to the more ubiquitous Lather King machine.

I haven't and I really have little interest beyond seeing pix that folks post of str8 razor shaves from Trumpers and the like.

As already written by others, I can do a better job and I care more. Plus I know that it will be done precisely the way I want it to be done.

A barber doesn't have better products than we use, and if they do it's time for me to go on a buying spree.

Talc, that might be one place I'm personally deficient.

Every time I get my haircut, I get a nice hot lather face and neck shave. No waiting, I can get an appointment with the barber anytime I want. And the price is right.

You guessed it. I'm the barber. Cool
