What exactly does Myrsol Emulsion smell like? I want to buy some but am afraid to waste money on something that I will not like.

Myrsol Emulsion is milky white and has a fairly thick consistency. It has dominant tones of a clean masculine scent with elements of herbs and menthol ... the scent is subtle and dissipates as quickly as the balm is absorbed into the skin. It's a nice preshave and/or aftershave balm and has absolutely no greasiness in terms of residual.

Thanks for the information. I just may have to take a shot at it.

Pre de Provence balm with shea is very good, but the scent is meh, almost like Irish Spring soap or something.

Irish Spring? Is that a bad thing? Lol. IS is the only soap a girl has complimented me on with "You smell good!"

Another vote for Myrsol Emulsion and I would add Floris JF, No. 89, Santal, and Elite After Shave Balms.

Its somewhere in between Irish Spring and Mr. Taylors. It also pairs up extremely well with Mr. Taylors, you'd think they were made for each other.

I use four:

Speick Aftershave Balm, Prairie Creations Aftershave Balm, Myrsol Emulsion, and my new found favorite, I Coloniali Men's Skin Treatment Hydro-Repairing Aftershave Balm.

I am liking Lucky Tiger Face Tonic these days. Refreshing and contains no alcohol.

Pink has been my standby for years. It is being pushed aside more frequently by Portland General Store Whiskey a superb alcohol free soother.
