Because when I click the "View New Posts" tab all I see is "What Deodorant, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Brush, Soap, Cream, After Shave, Blade, Ink pen, Razor Did you use today?" For heavens sake l Lets stay on reviews and what's new or At Least I have a question about whatever shaving products are out there, or technique. The one thing that drives me nuts is scrolling through post after post of who used what today! I love The Nook and other sites but for heaven sakes who cares about the latest fountain pen or who smoked this tobacco in their pipe, Lets share what products work well, ask for help when something isn't working right. Lets tell people what sale has popped up. When shaving technique needs some help. THINGS RELATED TO SHAVING!!!

Good Lord it's a shaving forum! We all come here to learn, Not find out what someone else did in the bathroom other than use products and give a opinion or ask for help or ask the wonderful people here "What am I doing wrong or could you recommend a AS or soap or cream. Ok rant over carry on.

I also find it a bit humorous to see a toothpaste thread. I didn't know people changed their toothpaste so often!

I've seen a couple of these complaint posts about the "tomorrow/todays product" threads and I don't really understand the big deal. I mean with a simple flick of your finger (either on the mouse wheel or swipe the screen) you can scroll right by them to whatever you prefer reading.
Anyway, with that said, I just clicked on the new posts link and out of 2 pages/36 new posts I do not see one single thread of that type. Huh

I don't even notice those threads any more... I guess my mental filters have kicked in Smile

And while the 'Nook is a shaving site, I do feel that other grooming has a home here too - even if I hardly ever visit those parts of the forum Wink

Well Patrick, That's a touchy subject around here. I do agree with you though. We are but small fish in a big sea so I guess we must live with it or find a new pond to swim in.... BTW What brand of TP did you use this morning? Me, Cottonelle with Aloe Vera... Ohh so smooth. No irritation. My butt is baby soft too...... Highly recommended!!!

This "pond" has fewer of these type of post than any other forum out there that I know of.

I probably would agree but, most of the time I ignore those posts.

I just look at the ones I am interested in and look at those.

By the way, what toilet paper did you use today?

I used sandpaper and that is why I am Grumpy today.Biggrin

That reminds me of a joke you have had to been around a while to get:

Do you know why the Russians use sandpaper as toilet paper?
To keep their a**es Red!

The joke worked better during the Soviet era, I'll admit... also have to say that the three Russians I had the pleasure of serving with on my Team Site was great company - even more so after a drink or ten Wink

Soviet era jokes still work, I still get teased at work with "Russians are coming". Plus no one plays drinking games with me, but it's all good Smile

Perhaps there's only so much you can say about shaving. Once you find your technique, settle on your favorite razor(s) and soaps and other gear, you look around and say, "Now what?". Seems most traffic is caused by folks new to TWS. You know, it's not the kill. It's the thrill of the chase....

Just my opinion.
