I don't know about you guys, but I love this cream. It's been made in Israel for decades. It has a classic, clean scent, it's very slick, lathers very well, and has great skincare properties. It's also very cheap too. I got my tube from liorfe, a vendor off of the 'Bay. $6 free shipping gets you a tube. He also throws in some other goodies too.

Who else has used this cream and likes it?

I've had a tube of the Olive. The greenness of the cream is odd, but the lather is great. I haven't used it a while. I will try it again tomorrow. The price is right and you get a lot in the tube for the money. I got mine from a regular online shop, but can't remember the one.

Yup, good stuff. A clean citrus/lime sort of scent. It works great!

Most definitely one of the best creams that are out there! I bought some on a lark, because I heard it was good and I liked the Hebrew writing on the box/tube. When it arrived and I used it; I fell instantly in love with the scent, lather, slickness, cushion, and how it made my skin feel.
I try a lot of soaps/croaps/creams, but I never let Mem Olive fall out of my rotation. I highly recommend this cream to anyone who hasn't tried it.

A huge +1 on that, William. It was my shave cream of choice this morning. I have not been without at least one tube of it since trying it several years ago. Smile

Hi guys. Freddy sent a sample over a year ago (thanks again Freddy) and my response was to order a tube. MEM is excellent, but I must be careful to keep it off my t-shirt! It does leave a lovely green on cotton.

After reading Freddy's glowing reviews of it on this site, I picked up a tube. I'm now a big fan too! Nice, clean scent
and great skin care.

When I served in the Israeli military between 1973-1989 Mem was my main cream!

I just got a tube and tried it this morning. Unfortunately, it took a while to lather (maybe didn't add enough water?), and when I shaved, the razor didn't glide very well. I could really feel the blade scraping thru the whiskers. I know it must be my technique, though I have no problem at all with the English creams.

Any tips on lathering?

Dave

I've found that it LOVES water. I had similar problems when I first used it. Add a little more water next time and see what happens.

I like the cream as well, but must note about how terrible the cap is on their tubes.

I pretty much had to empty my entire tube into a tub so that my cream wouldn't continually leak out of the tube from the broken cap.

Freddy has a pretty good review of the cream in our review section here.

Thanks, I'll try more water. By the way, how much cream do you start with? I started with about an inch of cream the diameter of an earthworm (that tube opening is small!).

The lid on my tube is cracked. It's not really an issue now, but I will be emptying it into a tub if it gets worse.

As much as I love MEM with olive oil (my favorite cream) that cap issue seems to be ongoing and the manufacturer has taken no steps to rectify the situation. As I mentioned in my review, this does not happen every time and, indeed, the tube I am using now, with about three quarters of the tube having been used, has caused me no problems at all. Go figure. Huh
