I've got around 20 pucks of my first batch of clay-free/lanolin-free shave soaps. The scent is Ginger essential oil with a hint of grapefruit essential oil. No clay of any kind for those who have noses sensitive to clay, and the lanolin has been replaced with beeswax. I'll add them to any order free of charge (as many as you would like provided I can fit it in the box without moving up to the next shipping size).

I've also still got a dozen or so of the 2 ounce Vetiver aftershave testers that I'll also add in for free with any order.

Just shoot me a PM and let me know what you'd like added in.

I'll probably be testing another clay free recipe soon, with the beeswax replaced with Aloe. Still undecided on the scent.

thanks,

Rod

You are doing yourself a dis-service if you haven't tried Stirling soap. The bath soap is excellent as well as the shave soap being some of the best I've ever used! The vetyver witch hazel is outstanding by the way.

Indeed. Excellent product only surpassed by service and support of the vendor. Rod is top-notch, in all respects.

I have used Rod's "Cool" tallow shave soap and shea butter bar soap and was impressed enough to place another order which also included his new shave soap and aftershave samples described above.

Slick, moisturizing lather with pleasing, balanced, natural scents...almost like the anti-Arko (which I also like) except they both share slickness and low price...Arko being more voluminous and in-your-face artificial scent with much less moisturizing. Continue to be impressed; will use more before reviewing.

I have four of the ginger grapefruit pucks left, as well as two of the AS testers. The Aftershave will be going live sometime within the next two weeks, and we're already preparing other scents to go along with the Vetiver.

Also, we have a ton of new flavors of lip balm added to the site.

Still have some stock left in the 50% off sale for various styles of our bath soaps.

Finally, to see if anyone is reading this, I'm putting Lime, Sharp Dressed Man, and Beer Shave Soap at 50% now through Sunday the 15th at 1159 PM. Shoot me a message or an email for a custom invoice for the discount.

Thanks,

Rod

I had the chance to try Rod's new clay- and lanolin-free soap. While I personally prefer the scents I have in his conventional soaps, the ginger-grapefruit was interesting, balanced and natural. In terms of performance, I can't really tell the difference in slickness and "cushion" compared to his conventional soaps...which is a compliment, to be sure. I ordered Frozen Tundra, Coniferous and Ben Franklin for myself and am enjoying the Cool sample.

Frankly, I do like ordering from a Texan who serves in the military, but I make no apologies about the performance and value of Stirling Soaps. As good as any I've tried from Arko and Palmolive to DR Harris and MWF.

FWIW, I judge "cushion" by how forgiving a soap is during buffing and Gillette slide maneuvers and find this characteristic usually goes hand-in-hand with post-shave care. I mention just because others seem to like to mention it. I am personally interested in ease of lather, slickness and post-shave care and focus on those aspects when comparing soaps.

I forgot to mention the vetiver witch hazel aftershave. My first venture into vetiver, and I like it: dry, grassy, natural-smelling. Conditions the skin well without any greasiness at all. Smells better on me once applied but not too persistent for those who will follow with an EDT or balm of a different scent.

Should be a winner; thanks for the sample, Rod.
