I know I'm going to get made fun of for this, being a Canuck... but are there any artisan's out there that make a maple scented, non-glycerin, shave soap?

Thanks

Brad

Mundus "Addictive" shave soap.

I received a sample of 16 grams of this soap from a Toronto retailer that I frequently visit. It smells like maple flavoured fudge and might fit your need. I am not certain of the ingredients as the sample, while nicely packaged and labelled, did not include an ingredient list. I would guess it is tallow based. Not a bad soap but it fell short, for me, as a mainly straight user. For DE users it would fit into many shavers rotations.

Good luck with your search.

You could try checking with Prarie Creations, she could probably do a custom scent for you.

Brad, i don't know about maple, but if you like honey, Mystic Water makes an incredible scented one!
Good luck finding the maple-scented soap. Biggrin

I remember hearing some good stuff about "mj's soap shop." There was a special release of a maple-scented soap for Canada Day in 2012, I believe. The main website seems to be down, but I found this link that seems to work:

* Charles, the soap-maker is an extremely friendly Quebecer and his soaps are very, very good! You could even practice your French with him, Brad! Biggrin

As a Yank, I don't think I need a reason to make fun of a Canuck ... but, if you want to make fun of someone then, talk to the Guy who made Bacon Scented Shaving Soap.

However, I have to say that I too would be interested in a Maple Scented Shave Soap.

I do love my Flapjacks.

(Oh besides the Bacon Scented Shaving Soap I will now have to put on my list Maple Scented.)

I like Charles' soaps. Nice scent and great lather. They're pretty much underrated and not spoken of enough.

JoAnna at TSD can make a very nice veggie based soap with Maple Sap Scent. My best mate is a Canuck and to help him "get into" wet-shaving I got a tub made by JoAnna and he absolutely loved it. I asked for less sweetness and more savor, like the raw sap before boiling. I think she used an essential oil of Maple for it. I was tempted to keep it for myself, but I passed it on anyhow!

Maybe the Portland General Store will have some. But I would check the TOBS line, some of their stuff smells like maple syrup. I can have someone to sniff each product for you.

I'd check with Saint Charles Shave and see if they can do a custom...or Queen Charlotte Soaps, which you know make a fine custom.
