Good morning! I hope everyone had an awesome labor day weekend! I was wondering what gives the face warming sensation in an aftershave like Clubmans Bay rum? I know the alcohol gives it the burn, but does it also give it the warming properties? Or is that do to an essential oil in it? I was just noticing that if you use Clubman 'original' you get some burn but no face warming but with Clubman's Bay rum you get the burn and face warming.

Is it because maybe it has a higher alcohol content ?

Thanks!
Joshua

as far as bay rum goes, clove feels "warming" and so does cinnamon.

That would explain the Clubman's Warming.
