I beginning to amass a collection of DE razors. Surprise, surprise. Some are modern some are from yesteryear. But all are going to be used in a rotation. My question is how to store them while they're waiting to be used. I currently have some in a stand and some in a tupperware container individually wrapped. Sorry about that! Please advise.

What most of us do is devote an entire room to our collection and build shelves in every possible place and load up on display items at Bed @ Bath or a good hardware store...toothbrush holders work out well as well as pipe holders. basically you are screwed and will be storing items in your car trunk, under the bed and will probably end up at Public Storage.....so STOP now or you will join the ranks of happy sick people...good luckCoolBiggrinTongue

I keep most of my razors in two separate four hole tooth brush stands, they work great for DEs, SEs, and straights. The stands cost me less than $3 at Ross. The rest sit in a plastic storage box outside of the bathroom so that they are away from moisture while they await my love.

I currently use and like a Spyderco Spyderpac

They come in different sizes. I currently use the 18 pack.

Not showy, but do the job well.

I am working on making a wooden case like the one above.

But, I think that the Spyderpac is a very good idea so you should check them out.

I went to Wal-mart and bought a stainless steel tooth brush holder. $7. It holds 5 razors.

There are 3 different "depths" of storage that I have. One is used for my everyday razors. Then there's storage for spare razors and razors that I keep for reference, and then there's deep storage... the boneyard.

My everyday storage in the cabinet uses disks that are drilled to fit each handle.

Then the spares and reference library have this storage.

There are a few in individual cases in the cabinet.

The boneyard of parts and such uses a similar case as the one above. I got them in the fishing section at K-Mart for $3-$4. The small dividers are moveable, the ones running from side to side in the picture are molded in place.

Nice set-up, Brian! What are those disks and did you drill the holes?

I read this was custom made by the Shave Cave team who will come to your house and completely eliminate everything but the Shave Cave. For several thousand dollars they will build shelves and display areas and even turn your bed into raised foundation to store extra blades and after shaves in air conditioned protected and hidden areas. You will be given a remote control which will allow access for the supplies. Also you can move the wife and kids to the garage to make even more storage and they can provide a postal and UPS loading dock for larger shipments. All of this will be done Ninja style so no one will ever know but you...just amazing process.....pleas call I AM NUTS...THANKS SHAVE NOOK....

Celest,

Where did you pick up that rack? I've been looking for something like that so I can pick a different razor to use every week/day.

* A friend of mine made it for me. Good luck with finding something parallel,
Celestino
