I have to ask what everyone's experiences are with Gillette DE blade? I like almost all of the packs I've tried and prefer the Silver Blues and Black S.Platinums, but often have a hard time differentiating between each style...here's a pic of some packs I have now...I know the regular Gillette Blues are missing, but please chime in on any experiences/comparisons/Info!

P.S. i know Gillette happens to make a bunch of other blades on the market that only carry the Gillette name as a distributor, so I'm not sure if this means they are actually manufactured by a Gillette factory?

I didn't like any of them except for the Yellows. The others ones were a bit too harsh for me. I know the Blues are supposed to be great blades, but I just didn't find that to be true for me, unfortunately.

I personally prefer the Silver Blues, but like the Yellows and Blacks as well.

Iridium Supers are great as well.

I like Gillette blades, especially yellow, hard and non-economic in Europe.

When I first tried the silver blues, I hated them and tossed them in the trash. They totally shel resides my face. However, I had only been wet shaving for a week or so at that point. I recently received some gratis with an order from a vendor, so I gave them another try and was very impressed. Nice and sharp, but still smooth enough to be comfortable. I have also had favorable experiences with the yellows and blacks.

I just got started shaving with a DE razor in the last few months but I've tried a decent number of blades and keep coming back to the silver blue. I feel like they're almost "technique killers" though, they're just so smooth that you naturally seem to stop worrying about "no pressure".

I have to say that the Gillette Silver Blues are the best ones on the market that work best for me, They seem to adapt to the majority of razors nicely.

The Indian made 7 O'Clock Super Platinum and Permasharp Stainless and both quality blades. I would happily recommend either, with the Super Platinum being the first preference.

I have had a lot of great shaves with the Silver Blues and the hard to find "Bleu extra" blades.

I found yellows to work exceptionally well in my Feather AS-d2. The greens weren't bad either but the AS benefits from really sharp blades.

To be honest I have found nearly all main stream blades to be acceptable at achieving DFS shaves if I have properly prepared my shave e.g. scrubbed, washed and hydrated my face followed by a hot towel to lift the hairs just before starting my shave.

How would you rate the silver blues or Blue extra to the polsilver SI's?

The platinum Gillette blades have always been my favorite. Currently it's tough to find anything other than the black's so they're at the top of my list right now. I also like the Blue and the Minora. I like and use all 5 pictured though. If I was rating them it would go in this order.

1. Black
2. Silver Blue
3. Gillette Yellow
4. Super Thin
5. Super Stainless
