Man this thing is fantastic...bought a week ago and received it today from Thailand and it is really nice...smooth as silk ...used it instead of the Slant today (my other favorite razor) and he NAILED it...has them for $25.00 on his site now and an absolute bargain...grab one if you can as they will fly out of there when the word gets out....I might just put all my other razors in a Museum...don,t think I,ll ever use any of them again...I,ll look at them but unless I get bored or something can,t see why I would bother...don,t take my word for this try one and you will see for yourself....another work of IKON Art for the Shave Cave!!!!!!

Have ordered one. It should shave great. It is a redo of the Punktal 101, one of the best razors ever. The first to have an OC and SB side on one razor head. The Punktal was also copied by Karl Engles in the Emir. Other Solingen based companies also offered this head on some of their razors. Glad to see it out or the rejects being offered. Usually it is hard to tell why they do not make the grade.

For me better shaving experience....smooth and effective...no matter what side I used...price cannot be beat....and even though it may be some alloy it looks very cool...almost like titanium...nice sheen and could easily sell for the same price as the Slant head...I have the OSS and the SK9 (both double sided) extremely well made but neither one became my daily shaver...this and the Slant are #1 and #2..(not sure which is which yet)...try it and if you don,t like it I,ll buy it as a back up.Oh yah and besides mine is 99.8% perfect can,t even find any flaw...one spot...absolutely no big deal unless you are off the charts Obsessive Compulsive.

I am not an ikon fanboy, but I tried to order one. I appreciate good quality, and If I like it, I would gladly give good feedback. I would also let people know if I didn't like it or thought the quality was substandard. I guess that Greg is afraid of honest feedback and refunded my order.
Times may have changed, but he is apparently the same spiteful person he was a few years ago.

I received the e-mail...err...e-mails - like 5-6 of the same message in a row...anyways at $25, I was more than willing to take a chance based on members' initial reviews and the fact that I, too, have a a 80mm bulldog handle lying around begging for a head.
Thanks for the heads up Harvey.

Yeah, I jumped on that deal. I don't know if it'll be the same, but a few years ago I got a cosmetically defective bulldog from iKon directly. The only defect was that there was a little ring around where the handle screws into the cap, which is completely out of sight when put together.
I tried the OSS-style head before and it irked me because I could never figure out what side to use when (its the same sort of variability that keeps me from holding onto adjustables). For those who use them, do you make an effort to use just one side for a particular pass? Or do you just switch them up like you would any "symmetrical" head?

I bought an OSS that supposedly had a cosmetic defect. If it does, I don't know where it is and I have really enjoyed that razor. I can only hope this one turns out as well. I tried various methods in using the OSS, finally settled on using the open comb side for the first pass or two and then finishing with the SB side. It seems to work well for me that way and will probably do something similar with this one.
