A friend is thinking of making these oak 7 day stands at a fair price. I traded to get mine.

I'd buy one of these if he made them for DE razors!
They look handy, slim and not as dated as most pipe stands (which means the Boss may approve of this fixture in 'her' bathroom LOL).

The gentleman listened, what changes would you have him make to this one?

He might want to just consider removing the brush sections to decrease the size of the stand's footprint.

You can make many interesting stands with a block of wood or stone and a 1/2"drill....shape and stain the wood ...drill a few holes and voila...a razor stand. Works on stone or marble with a ceramic bit and you can be as creative as your interest takes you.

Richard, the stand looks very functional as it is for seven razors and two brushes! I don't see any need for alterations unless the collection expands. Biggrin

I am very lucky! Many of the folks I know can do most anything well. This gentleman decided to start straight shaving after collecting and cleaning and displaying a humungous amount of straights, and then he wanted to learn to hone...Does a great job at all of the tasks.
