Hi gents,

Recently I've acquired a 1305.

When I'm comparing it to my last lot of Semogue brushes and my old 1305 in particular, it feels quite different?

It feels just as soft at the tips but has less splay and more backbone. I've also noticed the hair being dyed differently too. The hair also looks different when wet compared to my last 1305.

I think I prefer this new 1305 to my old one.

Anyone else noticed this?

See what the bristles are like after you use it for a time. That's all I can suggest since I haven't bought a Semogue in what seems to be forever.

What I'm getting at is that maybe after the bristles age through use the 2 brushes could get more like each other. Could that be possible?

Dipesh, I have also noticed the same thing with my 830 when I got another one, last year. However, they seemed to work just fine. I didn't think the bristles were much softer though.Smile

I'm currently loving this new 1305. If it stays like this, it could be my favourite brush.

Something is different though, albeit very subtle. I like it!

I also notice the differences in the dyeing of the bristles. Apart from that, I didn't noticed major differences in backbone or softness of the tips.
Anyway, if in fact there are differences, they seem to have improved, so keep up, Semogue! Number_oneThumbup

I have had the exact experience with my new 1305, and I too prefer the newer version. The bristles definitely have more backbone and less splay than my previous 1305.

All,

I asked Bruno over at Vintage Scents about the bristles; his reply:

"No, the bristles are the same. The only thing that has changed in the 1305 was the handle about 2 years ago. It's slightly rounder at the top now.

Best regards

Bruno"

Hope this helps....Ed
