I took the wife to a craft fair today and on the way back we stopped by an antique shop. While looking around I found a shaving mug and brush with a matching paint scheme on both, maroon base color with gold outline flying geese. Both the handle and the mug looked to be in very nice shape, unfortunately the brush had been left bristles down in the mug and had taken quite a bend that I do not believe could be straightened out. The price tag was $20 and I could not bring myself to break open my wallet Undecided I'm sure it will be there in the future so if I decide to pull the trigger on this one I'm willing to bet it will still be there.

Just replace the knot if necessary. Sounds like a cool find. Buy it if you want it with no reservations.

As Lee mentioned, you could just replace the knot if the handle is in very good condition. Good luck!

So much stuff...not much space!!! I guess I may be the fly in the ointment...but....I think to myself when I see something like that...do I REALLY need it or is it something thats gonna take up precious real-estate around the shaving area. YMMV Semper-fi Mike

I would pick it up if you really want it, as stated above you can re knot it with the knot of your choice.

If you really want it, haggle with the seller. Start at 12.00. I LOVE that kind of stuff. Man don't you watch the Pawn Shop shows on TV...lol.

This may be old but I am glad you found something. I went to a local Antique shop and all they had was one straight.
