Well, the grocery in town asked me to stop by - they wanted to hear the Captain's Choice story. We got done and the manager said he wants to carry our line in the store. There are literally three months of paperwork, meetings, free sample promotions and more before we actually begin supplying them. If it goes well in this location they may want to carry it in other locations as well.

I bought myself an ice cream sandwich to eat on the way home in celebration but shhhhh, don't tell the First Mate! Biggrin

Here is a picture of the store.

Very encouraging news indeed ... I have Wegmans near my home, and although they're considered to be a premium store, their shave product offerings are rather dismal ...

Get into the IGA chain here in Wisconsin. Then I can send my wife to the grocery for coffee and after shave.

Awesome news! I really wish we had Whole Foods, Trader Joe's or any of those type of joints around here.
I hear they carry all sorts of goodies, high quality, low priced soaps, shaving gear, etc. All we have are rinky-dink grocers with not much other than your usual Unilever/Procter & Gamble crap.

Great news Captain!
There are a couple of Whole Foods not too far from me - it would be nice to have a local supply of Captain's Choice.

Well folks, I had another meeting today with my liaison at the local Whole Foods store. She is the one who works with locally sourced vendors like myself. We reviewed the preliminary paperwork that I was submitting, discussed pricing, label standards, gluten and GMO issues as they pertain to ingredients, minimum quantities, shelf space, product promotions and more, much more. It went well and she is intent on getting us on the shelf before the holidays which is a tight schedule.

I left greatly encouraged at the posture of Whole Foods and their intentional effort to seek out local products for their stores. They quite rightly have excruciating product requirements and are very pro small business.

We ought to know more in a month - stay tuned!

This great news Cap. Hoping that it does well for you and for the rest of us. Be nice to tell my wife next time she goes for her spices to pick me up a bottle of Capn's Choice while she's there. That'd the be the Savannah Store if you're interested. LOL..
