I've been using synthetic brushes exclusively for the past seven months. At the time I started with them, I began to use a new puck of Muhle shaving soap. I noticed a few days ago when I droped my Marvy rubber mug that the soap appeared to be only about one-third gone.

At first, I credited the soap, and then I found this video.

One of the advantages of synthetic brushes not often mentioned is that you need far less soap/cream than with natural hair brushes. Have any of you had a similar experience?

Synthetic fibers are solid, rather then hollow, and do not absorb lather the way animal hairs do. This also makes them more hygienic, faster drying and easier to clean.
