So I found my old coin bowl I made when I was 12, and I realized that it might be a decent shaving bowl, since it has an irregular interior, and a slightly larger size than my VDH bowl.

I whipped up a test lather in it this afternoon, and I'm impressed with the results. Who would have thought that my lack of skill over 30 years ago would pay off now?

It's not pretty, but it seems to get the job done. I don't know if my wife will like to see it on the counter, though. [Image: u3amyqe5.jpg][Image: yraqe9ed.jpg]
