Any thoughts on this one? I've seen that a number of members seem to really like this, would love to find a classic Italian (almond) shave soap that has a great scent and doesn't irritate my skin (have been disappointed by the many others that I have tried).

Also looking for a sample if anyone is interested in selling me a chunk.

I've tried a variety of soaps from TFS, Razorock, Cella, Pannacrema, to name a few.

Some of these had excellent performance, but none had the trifecta: Excellent performance, scent that I love, and irritation-free skin (which for me usually means essential oils only).

Sounds like you need to try the Boellis and ABCBA.

I have over thirty soaps and creams on the go and experience with many others. My first encounter with Panama 1924 left me very impressed and it remains solidly in the top five of all I have tried. Several months ago I posted a verbose review on B&B. I have both the brick and Coffret. Very good stuff!

Boellis Panama is my favorite Italian shaving soap. Don't expect a very potent almond scent with this one. The fragrance fades a bit after you start using it. But the performance remains outstanding. It is a very slick, very easy to lather soap that will leave your skin feeling great.

Andrew, that is exactly what I want...minimal scent and maximum face care....I look forward to it.... I also have 125g of P.160 Tipo Morbido coming....so it is a showdown in my den later this week.

I personally believe you will like the Boellis better than the P.160

For the traditional Italian soap, I've found none better than Boellis.

Boellis Panama 1924 is my favorite soap, period. The scent is light and pleasant, and it's very easy to work up a rich, slick lather. If I could only shave with one soap, it would be Boellis.

For real? Is it REALLY that good? There's DRH, MdC, Tom's, and a half a dozen other really great soaps. To pick Boellis as the top one is pretty bold IMHO.

And, dang it. Now I want to try it.

I've been really curious about this one... There seems to be a lot of love for this Italian soap.

For what its worth, I didn't like it more than my other soaps. It is good but nothing special. I've only used it once, so I'll give it a few more shaves, but I don't see it in my rotation as of today.

I love mine, great performance... And I also like the almond Soaps scent, and in that area this one is perfect, not to strong. I match it up with my SMN mandorla bath soap!

IMO the soap is good, I've had the brick and now I'm using the cofrett, but it's not my favourite...

The aftershave has a wonderful scent. My wife keeps sneaking it to use as a perfume!

Well, it begs the question. Wink

I've used this twice now and really enjoy it. Maybe not as much cushion as I would like (user error/more product?) but it is definitely slick and feels great on my skin. It is definitely easy to lather. For reference I've tried Cella (brick), P.160, and ABCBA.
