Just bought this from Andrewjs18 -
[Image: stickschick_zpsa0bf9329.jpg]

Scrubbed & polished it - cleaned up real nice. I got it partly for nostalgia and mostly to use!

Went to the cupboard, grabbed my blades, slid back the slider to load a new blade, looked down into the box - zip, zilch, nada - NO BLADES. Well shucky darn!

~Frank

So I'm off to Amazon to buy some new blades. With Prime I might get them in time for my next shave either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Could you use a DE blade snapped in half?

It might, I don't know. Anybody have any experience trying this? There might be a problem lining up the blade. Hey! Maybe it could become the first injector slant. Hmmm...... Ouch!

The new blades a only a couple days out, and I won't be shaving again before Wednesday.

Very interesting design. Once you use it let us know what you think. Seems like it may have a unique balancing point due to the shape and ball at the end.

Oh, I have used one, many moons ago! I owned one back in the early 70's. That's partly what I bought this one. I managed to keep my Trac II through the years, but the Stick disappeared somewhere along the way. They don't pop up for sale real often, so I decided to pick this one up.

Even with the ball on the end of the handle is very lightweight. I don't recall exactly how aggressive the shave was. I guess I preferred the Trac II over the Stick? Well, I'm all for giving it another try - nothin' to loose.

yikes no on the de blade. It uses an injector blade! Otherwise it's a slice and dice!

No! Do not put half of a DE blade in a Schick Injector.

Well, the blades did show upon Wednesday. Unfortunately, I had already shaved Wed morning, so wasn't planning another until Thursday (or Friday, or Saturday, or....)Huh

Things finally settled down Sunday morning, so I loaded up a fresh blade & went for it! The handle is a little longer than most of my other razors, but I recognized the feel of that ball as if it were yesterday (40 years is a long time!). The shave was as comfortable as any, although I did manage to get a small weeper.

I'm not sure why I parted with my original Stick, or maybe it left me? But in any case, this one is here to stay!

Here's a photo of the roommates, reunited! Of course the AS is not original either, but the mug & brush are. This did bring back a few memories.
