Yes, the pot is completely empty. However, the soap isn't annihilated just yet. I scraped out the remnants around the edge and pressed them into a small plastic bowl. I should still get 5+ shaves from what is left. Not sure if I'll make it to 140 though as I'm only at 129 currently.

While I haven't used this pot exclusively I have certainly used it predominantly since I received it in early January. It is now mid-October. Not to shabby at all; especially when you consider my very hard water and the dense lather that I prefer.

Strong work, Brian!
I think this is the first 'empty' jar of MdC I've ever seen on the forums ... I hope you have a fresh new one on deck! Biggrin

Finished a 170g jar last year but didn't track my shaves,

I hope to finish another next year and will try to see how many shaves I get from it. I'm guessing 120 or so from my 170g jar. I load heavy too.

130-140 ain't too shabby for a jar.

Well done

Has it been worth every cent? Be interested to know the final count and the cost per shave...

Congrats. I know they were all wonderful shaves indeed.

It's amazing to see an empty MdC jar. That's an accomplishment. A very pleasant accomplishment for the user. Kudus Brian!

That's quite an accomplishment Brian. My tap water's also real hard, and because I like the big lathers, I burned through a puck of Harris Marlborough in about a month. I've since decided I'll try to stick with distilled water next time I decide to use up a whole puck and keep count. Using distilled water makes a better lather and the brush loads up a lot faster, which will extend the life of the soap. I've got some MdC Fougere that is on my list, and It'll be fun to see have many nice, lathery shaves I can get out of it. Thanks for being an inspiration to us all!

I have a backup already still unopened as well as a barely used Fougère (<30 uses). Fortunately I'm quite set on my MdC for the foreseeable future. Especially since I've been on an almond Italian soft soap kick lately.

That could be the saddest pic I have ever seen! Knowing you almost out of MdC is a sad state of affairs? Smile
