Just a reminder to everyone, but especially to new members, to please reduce the size of your images before posting, so they don't use so much bandwidth. A good acceptable size is 800x600 pixels. There are lots of software programs available for resizing your images, and members here are quite willing to give you instruction if you need it, too. Thanks.

A very good reminder, John! The smaller images really facilitate the navigation of threads. Smile

Simple Resize is available for free from iTunes, should be easier for your iPad.

You can set your photobucket account to resize them as you upload them or you can edit them in photobucket with no problem.
I use my computer and resize them before loading to photobucket.

Just a BUMP to remind everyone: please re-size your images to 800 x 600 or smaller! Thank you.

Once again, guys, please re-size your images!! There's no reason at all to post the giant ones.

I'm one of the guilty parties. Have to say I'm not finding it very straight forward re sizing in photobucket

If I change the width of the picture it won't let me change the height to the settings you recommend

Any ideas?

There are a lot of free programs for re-sizing images before uploading them. I use the FastStone one, which is very simple to use. Here are some listed:

John, I, too, have been noticing what seems to be a resurgence of full size photos and agree with you.

Folks, please post photos at no more than 800x600 pixels. We realize that this is not very large and the administrators/moderators have discussed this. We're hoping to offer a larger pixel count eventually. Until then, please help us out. Thanks.

I have been inadvertently guilty of posting full-size images. Blush Not a problem to resize them to 800x600.
Thanks for the reminder. Smile

this issue will be addressed soon.

rather than having the photos resize with a script, they will resize based on a user's screen resolution.

Maybe I was mistaken, I thought when uploading with Imgur, it resized them automatically?

No, Imgur merely uploads the photo to the site. The photograph has to be shrunk before using Imgur.
