Check out the video in this link. Easily the best goal I've seen this year.

EDIT: Had to remove the close-up video link, as Youtube blocked it.

Second EDIT: Here it is again (for now):

Yes, a truly beautiful goal. I'll refer to it as the beautiful game again when all the diving stops. Nothing irritates me more than a dive.

Every game has its issues. Diving is a real pain, but as long as the refs reward it, it will continue.

I try not to let it affect my enjoyment of the game, so I don't focus on it. Players who dive too much lose my respect, and I will ignore them after I've labeled them as a 'diver'. So, I don't pay any attention to Christiano Ronaldo, for example.....regardless of how much talent he has.

It doesn't bother him of course, but then not watching him means he doesn't bother me either.

Yohann, you must be an Arsenal supporter! They played brilliantly, today, and I really hope they win the EPL, this year. They have one of the greatest players I have seen in a very long time in Mesut Ozil who has provided such a spark to this team. Can you imagine when Theo Walcott gets back!

I think you are being a bit harsh on Cristiano as he doesn't really dive much any longer. He was terrible in his younger days, but now, the majority of the times, he is legitimately fouled.
I just wished he worked as hard on defence as I abhor one-way players; no offence, but when you talk about the greatest players in this game, folks just focus on the forwards and goal scorers, usually, and forget about the playmakers/mid-fielders and defence. Biggrin

And on this date, October 24, in 1857, the world's first soccer club, Sheffield FC, was said to have been founded in England. Other clubs, however, claim earlier roots. And the history of football, of course, is much longer.
