My impressions after the very first use:
- Lovely coloured handle, a wee bit on the small side but not enough to bother me.
- Scritchy! This is definitely not your silky smooth badger, just as I had hoped.
- A vague smell of 'animal' - not to dissimilar from the scent I catch a whiff of when our cat decides to nest on my chest..

Conclusions so far:
- Money well spent.
- A face latherers brush.
- Will likely smell of soap by the end of the week.

Hans, great to hear you enjoy the brush!
Boy, I don't know how you can tolerate the 'scritch'! Too much for me! Blush

Congratulations, Hans.

The smell does wear off ... as it does with new badger knots.

The scritch does not wear off ... great if you like it though.

Enjoy ... Biggrin

I have a 35/65 Vie-Long Horse
Not my favourite,it's just something different in my collection
The smell will go away after a while,it's not like a Boar
Enjoy your brush and happy shavings.

Tried it for facelathering today - still nice and scritchy, but I noticed it holds less water than any of my other brushes, which meant it was a bit of a challenge using it with Mike's soap.

NOT a brush for the tender-skinned crowd Tongue

Warm water for five-ish minutes? Same as my other brushes; long enough to pick a soap or cream and wash my face.

Good luck with the brush, Hans!
That thing would be too much for my sensitive skin! Biggrin
