Moroccan Secret is one of my favorite RR products! Great scent, not too strong, yet completely noticeable...Gotta love that argan oil...its popping up in many other RR products like the "Montebianco Lavender" I recently scooped up, which by the way is now a favorite non-tallow based RR croap. I think the argan oil is a great skin conditioner and pretty uniqueExclamation

Shaved using the Moroccan Secret today and it was great. I'm a noobee to wet shaving, just since Sept, but got my closest shave today using Moroccan Secret and a SE Gem Micromatic with a Treet carbon blade.

A Flying Wing (aka bullet-tip). I also have a Feather Weight but can't seem to pull myself away from the Flying Wing to try it. I love that razor!

I am also curious about this soap. I love argan oil! I guess I sorta just glace over this soap every time I'm on the IB website due to the lack of reviews on the forums and the bad review it got on the IB site.

I looked at the reviews as well and the reason it didn't great reviews is because one person gave it a one star rating. If you read his reviews he did this because there was only around 3.5 ounces in his container vs. the advertised 5. At the end he said the soap was good. I have MF from IB and it is short on the weight as well, but not as much as the guy in the review. That's one reason I'm holding back on ordering more. Every tub I've gotten from RR is never the amount advertised, unless the weight printed on the label is the amount including the tub.

Hmmm...that's tough, I never thought of weighing my containers/soaps/creams...I wonder if this is unusual, or very common amongst RR products...To be honest it wont EVER keep me from purchasing more from one of my favorite soap/croap/cream brands, but is something I'll have to check out...Oh by the way the scent does have a citrus element with also a more complex mixed floral bouquet essence tooAngel

Sorry to rock the boat on a first posting, but I have to stand up for Italian Barber on this one. The reviewer on the IB web site got the measurements wrong. OP's picture and the IB web site both show this soap measured as 150ml or 3.5 fluid ounces. That's volume, but the reviewer used it as weight instead. The soap is lighter than water, so it should weigh less than either 150 grams or 3.5 avoirdupois ounces. I haven't tried to scoop all the soap out of a new container and put it in a measuring cup, but it looks pretty close to half a cup to me.

I have no connection to Italian Barber, except as a satisfied customer.

That's interesting, I've always just typed 150 ml to ounces on google and it would say 5 oz. so I thought they were never as full as advertised. I apologize if I caused any ill feelings with my previous statement.

Wow, I just tried that myself on google. It's fluid ounces for sure, but they just call it an ounce. There are lots of things called ounces and they all are different. Bet it misleads lots of folks.

That review got me too. I read it and was surprised there was that big a variance, but didn't think anything of it. The next morning I was using a different Razorock soap and looked at the lid. I saw ml instead of grams and had to go back to IB's web site to take another look at the review. That doesn't sound too obsessive does it?Rolleyes

It's sold by volume, not by weight. I would prefer it if all soaps and creams were sold by weight but I don't think it's going to happen.

Hi Guys,

Just to clarify a bit. All the RazoRock soaps are measure by fl oz or ML, both are measurements of volume, not weight.

It is done like this because the soaps cure in their jars and it's not possible to know the exact weight until after curing, but it is possible to dispense the exact volume.

I assure you the volume is accurate.

If I may show you another example with our hard soaps... this youtube review actually weighs the soap on a scale and you can see that his soap actually weighed about an ounce more. If anything, we err on the other side.
