My dumbest shaving moment?

I've had a few, but to date my dumbest is…

Despite years of using the Cobra,
inserting a blade so that the sharp edge was not exposed,
performing a complete pass
and wondering why my razor was suddenly broken… Huh

What's your dumbest shaving moment?

Using Cremo for the first time with a new feather blade. So much lubrication that I had no feedback. Instead of accepting I applied more pressure until I got feedback!

Probably lost 5 layers on that shave!

When I first started shaving, I inserted the bottom plate of my EJ89 upside down onto the top plate, but, fortunately, I noticed something was amiss on one down stroke! Ahhh, those early days! Biggrin

My dumbest probably is when I worked very hard, nearly working up a sweat and cursing the whole time, trying to build lather with what turned out to be brushless shaving cream.

I got a little too fast on my XTG pass once and ended up slicing my ear pretty bad. Angry Live and learn.

Mine is lathering up seven brushes at once to test the brushes side by side...with a soap I found out shortly thereafter that I have a reaction to. The soap was SCS Dagger, and after seven rounds it was a dagger to my face.

Letting a blade slip over one of the posts on my Schick L2 and not having my glasses on to see it so I continued using for half the shave until I figured it out. What a rough shave. That was the only time I was forced to skip the next days shave for recovery.

Mine was when I thought I could handle the razor adeptly enough to trim some ear hairs.... I ended up taking off a slice of my ear instead/as well!!! This was just before going to work too, so I had to use superglue to stop the bleeding!!!! Lol, lesson learnt!!

Yep, superglue! I believe that's how superglue was first used, while in the field at war, to quickly close a wound. I thought I'd give it a try, it worked!!

Flipped baseplate of a DE89L when reloading in dim light and groggy.

Overtightening a bakelight razor causing ripples (yes ripples) in the blade, and not stopping after first stroke.

Dropping my first r41 2011. (Now I have five to handle my foreseeable stupidity.)

Laughing1 I am sorry, but that is really quite funny! How long did it take you to realize the mistake?

During one of my operations on my spine, I woke up too find a surgical dressing on my neck area......... So instead of stitches or staples they used Superglue.
