I know that this is a very difficult question to ask , since there are soooo many brilliant shaving soap artisan out there , but which one its your favorite of all and why ?

As you know , Im currently testing some artisan shaving soaps to write reviews of them and also compare them , and so far , Im very impressed with them , specially with the vegan ones like Petal Pushers or How to grow a Moustache , but I need to test other which are tallow based to compare.

Ok , so what's your fav artisan soap (and scent ) ?

Panna Crema Vetiver is my favorite, but I also really enjoy QCS and Mike's. Of the other artisan products I have tried Sterling, Mystic Waters and Mama Bear don't make the cut.

Easy answer for me, Teiste. JabonMan no question.
Manuel's soaps are incredibly easy to lather, great slickness, but the icing on the cake is post shave feel. Even the non lanolin and Shea butter soaps are extraordinary.
The scents are unique and certainly to my liking.
Favourite is Ylang Ylang-Pachuli-Naranja.

This could change at any time, but for now I would have to say Barrister & Mann, in either the Cheshire or Seville scent.

It is nearly effortless to create lather that is cushiony, slick, and just about perfect.

I primarily shave with Mike's, PPF and HTGAM soaps. I love them all but Mike's takes the top spot for me. Mike's consistently performs just a bit above the rest and I really like the 4.25" tin. Anything smaller is near impossible for me to load on (I use big brushes) and the 5" tins are a bit much in my hand. Mike's is numero uno in my book!

I'd have to go with Mike's. Performance is fantastic, but the quality and quantity of Essential Oils he uses is unmatched imho.

Love everything I've tried, but my favorites are the Hungarian Lavender, Vetiver, and the Peppermint & Rosemary.

One problem is that there are so many to try out. But from what i've tried and pricing MNS is really up there for me. Calani as well. Don't get me wrong b/c Jabonman is quite excellent but pricing is another factor for me personally.

Foe me it's Mikes. I always get that thick yogurt type lather and my face feels great after. Plus, I like his scents.

Teiste, you are correct in that it's difficult to narrow the choice down to one.

Nonetheless, my vote is for Mystic Water Soaps ... Biggrin
My favorite scent tends to vary, but I believe overall it would be Mysore Sandalwood.

A close 2nd is JabonMan, followed by Mike's in 3rd.

Stirling gives me that perfect yogurt-like consistency I love for my straight razor shaves.

Barrister and Mann (Nocturne) followed by HTGAM for now

My absolute favorite scent among any soap is MW Sandalwood Rose. Maybe I should try it and Mikes again now that I have soft water.

I like Jabonman performance but had to sell 4 of the 6 because my wife does not like the scents.

I couldn't use any of the 10 or samples I had, they were all too funky for me.

Mike's seems to be the first choice for many folks here.

I voted "other" for Stirling. Mike's and QCS are excellent in my mind, too.

I do not find them as easy to lather or as voluminous as say, Arko, but are not bad in these respects. Scents are natural and not overpowering.

I personally put a lot of stock in a simpler ingredient list, good quality essential oils (not fragrance), American-made and affordable so I am a fan of Stirling soaps and will probably be a return customer.

I would have to go with Mystic Water only because of the scents. The Sandalwood Rose, Sardinian Honey are my favourites, but closely followed by the Bay Rum!
I have to say that Mike's and Jabonman are just as good, but the scents from Michelle's soaps are just my preference. Blush
