I just had someone give this to me. Apparently it was his fathers and he had been holding onto it for more than 20 years. I would have sworn I read someone say this was their favorite soap in a recent thread on here. It's still got the imprint of the name in the puck and appears to be new. Even came in a box. Pretty cool, I'd be interesting in hearing about it though.

I don't know if this is the same Yardley soap that comes in the bowl, but it looks very cool! What does it smell like?

Very interesting. I've never seen that mug and soap before. Hopefully it will be the same soap as the bowl.

If that soap is like the Yardley shaving soap which came on a wooden bowl , then you have a superb shaving soap there.I dont know how is its scent , but the lather and the skin care will be top notch.

The bottom of the mug says "CANADA" and it's hard to see in the blurry third picture but that in fact DOES say Yardley on the puck. I cannot believe a 20+ year old piece of soap is still in such perfect condition. Is it possible to get refills for this soap if I like it? I'll try and explain how it smells after I use it tomorrow but right off the bat it reminded me of Tabac but less harsh or strong smelling and obviously a bit different.

Vintage Yardley soap is reportedly fantastic. I've never had a chance to try it.

If you like it, you will not be able to get refills unless you either: 1) find them in the wild, or 2) pay an arm and a leg to get them off e-bay.

Enjoy the soap!

They are actually not that expensive in comparison to other vintage soaps. They perform great!

Yes, I'll look forward to hearing how you like it. I have only used the Yardley soaps (green label, black label) in the wooden bowls, and they've been excellent.

It seemed to lather just fine but I got a bit of a raw feeling/burn when i used aftershave more than usual when using a silver blue. It didn't seem quite as slick as my normal soaps. I gave it a lot of water too. It's weird though because it lathered pretty nicely. I'll have to give it another try. I wonder if any other pucks of soap would fit in this cup for the future though. Seems like the yardley is smaller in diameter than the tabac I have. something interesting I noticed is that under the puck of yardley there was an almost equal size plastic cup bellow it so it was sitting up higher in the cup and easier to lather without clanging the sides.

From todays shave:
