I have heard from a few folks that you go through much more of Le Pere Lucien than MdC. It would be good to validate these claims from anyone who has tried both.
Celestino,
I load my brush heavily as a rule, whether using Martin de Candre, Le Pere Lucien or the others soaps. Obviously, since Le Pere Lucien is a soft soap, it loads faster than Martin de Candre in the same amount of time. In that respect, at least in my case, I probably use a little bit more Le Pere Lucien than Martin de Candre. As for the claim that you go through more Le Pere Lucien than Martin de Candre, it is so subjective that I would just shrug it off.

Is there really benefit to leaving the lid off to further hardening?

If that's true, I'll try it.

I do like the container. Stainless steel is very substantial and won't rust.

From Cyril,

Quote:Hi jesse

I am glad my soap is good for you. I believe it will be better if it is drying more.

Could you please PM me Cyril's e-mail address? I'd like to try this soap, but although it being from France, I haven't seen available online anywhere in Europe. Huh

Regards.

I found it out too after I posted, but the 200gr tin, which is the one I want, is sold out... so I need to go directly to the maker. Wink

What do you mean "link", Ben?
I was trying to get the producer's e-mail so as to order a 200gr soap from him.

I though the maker might have a website.

I wish, but apparently he's still working on it.
Either way, I still haven't gotten any e-mail reply from him... Let's see. Wink

Great - another soap to try! Biggrin

Can anyone compare this to LA Shaving's soap? They seem pretty comparable based on what's being said here.

Hi all,

This week, we will receive the new soaps.

They will be stronger scented than the first batch.

We have put them up on our site, so they are available.

Thanks,

Eric

Indeed! I've been pretty curious about this soap, looking forward to buy it sometime soon... but my next purchase will probably be Mystic Water, I have to try it soon! Biggrin
