I'll go with the ability of a person to admit they were wrong with no qualifiers. Its rarity is what makes it so appealing when it happens.

The ability for people to follow through and actually do what they say they will do.

* These two are just below the ability to express kindness and love without reservation or fear.

A true friend. Someone that will except you for who you are, not what you are.

A sense of honor, which encompasses many of the traits above.

If you're honorable, you do the right thing...even when you know nobody is watching you.

Sincerity. Even if I don't agree with the message, opinion, direction, or desires of a good friend, so long as they are frank and honest about why they feel that way we can have an open discussion about it. If we ARE in agreement sometimes it's nice to understand a different person's motivations for doing the same thing I am doing. For this reason people who are overly political and deceitful in their actions usually don't find their way into my inner circle.

I think that nobody is perfect, sometimes one person might have a trait that I'm really fond of, but flaws that I just can't stand.

In the end, I think that it's all about measuring a person's good traits with his flaws. If the good ones are stronger than the bad one, the person if nice to be around. If it's the opposite, than no.

So I don't think I'm able to point out a single trait that I most admire. I admire the person as a whole, as a sum of his good traits minus his flaws.
