Gentlemen,

Let me present two beautiful titanium handles from William Quiles.

The first handle I ordered was the larger (fatter) titanium handle. It took about 1 week to make and in another week it was in my hands in Singapore. I was so impressed by the handle, I requested if Will could make another handle, however this time a little longer and narrower. He graciously agreed, even though it took longer to make, given the thinner profile and flex while machining.

So how do they perform? The feel is excellent, Will's machining on the lathe and finishing means that the hand feel, texture and grip is perfect. They just feel 'right'.

The thinner handle is paired with the Tradere SB head, while the fatter handle uses the Muhle R89 head. The fit and finishing on both handles is simply superb. The thinner handle is more manoeuvrable and works better with the Tradere, while the fatter handle cuts whiskers better with the Muhle.

No detail left undone, beautiful finishing at base of each handle.

Will sent several photos during the manufacturing process to keep me updated.

length = 86mm, dia = 17mm, weight = 2.7oz.

[Image: fu7l.jpg]

length = 92mm, dia = 12mm, weight = 1.4oz.

Will's email is wquiles@gmail.com. If you have any requests I'm sure Will would be accommodating. These are beautifully machined, custom titanium handles at a modest price. For me, they're the ultimate DE razor handles.

Thank you Will Smile

Michael

Wow, Michael! Those are very unique handles. That thinner one looks great paired with the Tradere! Are they slippery, at all, when wet? I hope you continue to enjoy them.

Those look beautiful!
Takes me back to when I worked in the aircraft industry........which was the last time I turned titanium!
Will is a skilled man indeed, as it's not the easiest material to work with, even with modern tooling!
This makes me want to get a metal lathe as well as my wood lathe.....who knows!
Thanks for sharing!

Not slippery at all when wet, the grooves are perfectly machined and give the best grip of all my razors. Titanium is the added bonus.

They are cool, but look very high maintenance. Those grooves attract a lot of shave residue.

Great looking handles!

Seems like Will and I have come to the same conclusion about comfort and grib, at roughly the same time! Smile
