Hello, just recently received the Jubilee LE Manchurian, I like it except it's a little too big for my taste, my daily brush being the Duke 1. For you gentlemen who have other Manchurian with a smaller know, which brush would you recommend? I'm thinking of a custom Duke 1 Manchurian but there might be a better option that I don't know about. I mainly face lather and use soap.

Dennis, the Duke 1 is a more uncommon size, with the 3 probably being the most popular. I've never seen a Manchurian knot in a Duke 1.

The Duke 3 is one of my preferred brushes and although a little larger than your own preferences, it gives me a feel for the density and feel you like from your brushes.

From the range that has already been offered in Manchurian, I'd suggest considering the Classic 1. There have been a number produced already and Mark, may just have one squirrelled away...

The Jubilee and Rover are not too dissimilar in size and therefor I'd strike out the Rover. The Chubby 1 will also feel at least as large as the Jubilee, if not bigger. The Classic 1 is like a Chubby 0.5 and it fits neatly in the Simpson Case, making it my holy grail travel brush.

I promise to post some pictures comparing the Jubilee, Rover, Duke 3, Chubby 1 and Classic 1 all in Manchurian, but it may not be until the morning (it's a reaching 9pm here and lighting is much better during the day).

I would go for something like a Emperor 1. Small in knot but handle will be nice in size. Thinking outside the box?!

I'd vote for a custom Duke - a Classic 1 in Manchurian might be a little too dense.

In fact, I inquired not too long ago about a Duke 1 Manchurian.

A custom Duke 1 would obviously fit the bill, but Dennis will have to wait until the New Year before Simpsons will consider anything bespoke...

+3 on the Classic 1. What a great brush, regardless of what's in the knot.

Thanks Ravi, not my best efforts, but time was limited and I wanted Dennis to have a quick visual comparison to aid him with his choice...

Ben, the "Rover" in black is my most desired brush. You posting photos of it makes me want it even that much moreBiggrin While the other brushes look phenomenal, there is something about that gold lettering on that color that does something for me.

Thank you Ben for all those beautiful pictures, makes me want to have all of them! Classic 1 does seem to be the right size, very similar to the Duke 1 so I'm guessing both of them will be similar in lathering. I'll wait for Mark's reply regarding the availability of the Classic 1 otherwise I'll have to wait until he is ready to do a custom one.

Dennis the Classic 1 will likely be denser than the Duke 1.

The Duke 1 in Manchurian sounds like a great idea. The Jubilee was a great brush because it backed off on the density little. I would love to see pics of the brush if you decide to have it made
