This evening, I was contemplating offering one of my straights in a trade. I remembered the straight as being a very beautiful wedge that I seldom used because I prefer full-hollow blades.

Anyway, I started looking through the collection. It's not as big as it used to be, but it is still a decent size - several dozen razors. I looked in the two boxes of my usual stuff - no sign of it. I looked through my razor rolls - no sign of it.

I was puzzled.

Then I remembered a 7-day set box that I used to use in the past. I thought I'd emptied it a while ago during a razor purge. Anyway, I went hunting for it and located it in the attic.

Lo and behold! It was filled with (you guessed it) seven razors! Among them the wedge I was looking for, but also some of my favourite razors from the past. They may have been favourites, but they were forgotten for months.

It's a sobering thought. There were razors worth over a thousand dollars, and I'd completely forgotten about them.

Maybe it's a sign that the den is too large again. Blush

I know the phenomenon well but my excuse is 400+ razors. On Saturday I bought another 67. Now I'm losing track of them. Nearly 3 doz. W&Bs alone plus 200 DEs..
Narrow that search down for one razor.

Take seven out your normal rotation and put these seven in.. and smile as you think about the coming weeks or months of shaves.

* Yohann, considering Mark's collection, here, yours is small in comparison and you might want to enjoy those new found razors, for now! Biggrin

What a great find! Congrats. Its like early Christmas, eh?

It may mean that your stroage would benefit from some remodeling, though, so your razors don't get too far astray.

I try hard to keep all my shave "stuff" in only three places.

Been there last week and finally found the razor in a box with some others that I had set aside. Gotta get organized!
