Within two weeks of ordering it, my 3-band select silvertip brush came in the mail today! Well, it really almost didn't...I got out of school and saw a missed delivery slip in my mailbox and saw the postal worker just about to get into their vehicle. I was able to stop him in time and pick up my package.

The brush was delivered with a protective layer of tape to prevent water damage, and the box contained the brush inside of (what i assume is the usual) plastic tube to prevent crushing. Packaging was nice at secure.

Once i opened up the plastic tube i found this beauty inside...

All of this is in its pre-bloom goodness. This is what the hair looks like before it has seen any water.

Tonight i get to introduce this beauty to water, with my first shave with a Silvertip...much less a Semogue select silvertip. I expect to use this with the following supplies,
Polsilver super iridium inside of an aristocrat
Some MWF
art of shaving aftershave balm.

Tonight i'll find out if it'll produce good lather with "the fat". Wish me luck.

Also, I'll be doing a review of this brush once i've gotten more experience with it...Does anyone have any questions about it that i can try and have the review address? as stated prior, I've never shaved with a silvertip, but i've felt my brothers whipped dog. It's a great, and quality looking brush so far though.

You've got a heck of a lot of shaving brush.Enjoy it.And give it some time to get softer tips (they will get softer with uses).

I really want to try one of these someday, hopefully Semogue releases more brushes utilizing this hair/knot. I'm not a big fan of natural horn brushes, but that is a beauty!

Natural horn combined with a superb knot ... these Semogues are quite distinctive.

It is a great brush, I've said before it's the current favorite in my rotation.

You will be surprised with how the brush looks after its first use. Wink

Regards.

Thanks for your encouragement in choosing this one! I really appreciate your help with it. I have to say, there was a drastic difference between the first and second use. So far i'm more than happy with this brush, and you are definitely right...i'll of course post pictures in my review of the post bloom hair. It's astounding.

I would have loved to get one of these, but there were gone before I knew what happened unfortunately. I own the 2010 silvertip so I am grateful, love the Semogue brushes.
