Are you going to be shopping for anything in particular when stores have their big sales on Black Friday? I'm thinking about looking at a relatively small flat-screen HDTV for the bedroom, so that I can be lazy and watch shows while lying in bed.

Im not sure if I will run out to buy anything but I am looking for a good deal on a new ultra book for my dad, a 60 Gal Compressor for the shop, a 20V Dewalt kit and ... I think that's all.

No, John, I try to avoid that madness. Besides, barely 10 minutes ago I just treated myself to an iKon Shavecraft 101 from BullGoose so I cheated and did my Black Friday shopping a wee bit early.

I'm on the fence of buying a Cobra...

If Nordstrom had Creed on sale on black Friday, I'd be there. But I doubt it...

There is no chance I'll be in any store on Black Friday!

I'm not really looking for any thing but if I find a good BF deal online I may get it.

Hear, hear!

I have no interest or patience in the overnight/early morning shopping madness, so the sweetheart deals would be over before I got there, anyway.

When and where is this Black Friday? I'm not familiar with it.

The Friday after our Thanksgiving. Anything to make a dollar.

Johnny, thanks. Interestingly, I just asked SWMBO and she knows all about it...but she's English!!!? I guess it's woman's intuition.

My wife will be as she will be meeting a high school friend to shop while we are visiting my parents in Atlanta. I've gotten to the point where there is little that I desire in stores as most of the things I'm interested need to be ordered on the internet.

So not too much Black Friday for me, but now that Cyber Monday thing. That may be a different story. Biggrin

Now we're talking!
The comfort of not having to leave home and deal with <shudder> crowds of annoying people ... and a world of shopping selections just a few clicks away ... Biggrin

I guess I'll avoid the crowds, too, and just limit myself to Cyber Monday online shopping.

I hate crowds, but I used to partake in the madness of Black Friday just for the sport of it all. I haven't done that in many years because now I usually deer hunt that day. This year I'll also be doing something else even more exciting...watching my son's high school football team compete for the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in the Metrodome!!!!

The only things worth buying require me to either stay on amazon and wait for that video game (which I don't want anymore anyway) to go on their fire sale, wait overnight in the cold, etc etc.

I don't need any big ticket items so the prospect of going through all that inconvenience to save $30 is preposterous to me these days.

Not only that, but I don't want anything that's actually on sale. Everything else is just on a regular discount that I can find pretty much every other time of the year.
