I've been using Proraso pre-shave cream and Feather Nanka pre-shave gel for quite a while now. These have been great products and improve the morning ritual.

Given my beloved Proraso is nearly finished, are there any pre-shave products recommended? I've tried pre-shave oils and found these a little cumbersome to use.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I currently use 3P and I found I like it more than Proraso or any other pre-shave creams I've used in the past.

I've used both Proraso's, 3P, Prep, and Vitos. All four are very good. If I had to choose one it would probably be 3P. Value wise the Vitos 250ml tub you can buy at Italian Barber is nice. For me the Prep was at the bottom of list.

I sometimes use Cremo shave cream as a pre-shave. It's supposed to function as a stand alone shave cream (out of the tube, without lathering), but I use it more as a pre-shave. I wet my hands and rub a little water in with it.

It's relatively inexpensive, available at drugstores, and not oily or greasy.

I prefer Proraso especially in the summertime as its cooling effect is a great way to wake up and get going in hot weather. During the winter, when I don't want any cooling effect, I use Castle Forbes preshave. It does a nice job, has very little scent and works well with your shaving cream/soap of choice.

One I used and thought it worked wonders was Taylor of Old Bond Streets Preshave Gel. Really seemed to work and smelled great.

I normally use either proraso white or green pre-shave. Both give me outstanding results.

I've used Proraso white and Vitos with pleasing results. Vitos gets the nod for price and great cooling effect.

Ernest Supplies Cooling Shave Cream. It's more of a pre-shave for my purposes, and my favorite of all of them that I've tried.
