I see:

Made in USA and Sterilised.

Swastika, a symbol of auspiciousness in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.

Metal handle, which mirrors the hybrid knot in shape.

3 band appearance.

Wonderful accompanying, stand, mirror and bowl.

What am I missing?

EDIT: Teiste and I posted at the same time...

Oh I see Biggrin

I think that have been discussed before and no relationship with the III Reich or whatsoever. Some of those brushes were made in the 1910's and 1920's , for what I understand, before Germany changed its flag for the Swastika one (the N.S.D.A.P flag , actually).
The Swastika is a symbol of luckiness in some cultures , like the Indian , so maybe that is the reason is was chosen to be on those brushes.

It does not look like a German swastika. Perhaps it was the company's logo.

The swastika only became taboo after WW2 was won by the allies.

If I am not mistaken the original swastika is turned to the left, the Nazi one to the right.
This one is to the right...

Toby, there is quite a bit of information on the internet about them. Large part of many religions as Ben mentioned.

Herman Gehring's shave brush..... Just kidding. I once went to the 45th infantry museum in Oklahoma City. They have on display there Hitlers bath linens and his mirror taken as a war prize from the Wolf's Lair. The linens were embroidered with AH. I took a picture of me in his mirror.... Kinda creepy but I was in my 20's at the time.
