Hey guys,

In the beginning of December, I'm taking my wife to London. Could you guys help me with ideas for places to buy shaving gear?

Of course I'm already going to spend an afternoon in Jermyn St. and surroundings, so I wanted to know some other hidden, off the headlight places where I'd find some nice stuff.

Thank you all!

David, we went 2 1/2 years ago, but I didn't look too much outside of the normal area. I wish I would have been more in tune to what I wanted back then as I was just getting started and only used vintage razors and creams. I was in it to save money back then. Dodgy If I went today, I'm afraid I would need a separate suit case to come home with. Biggrin
I got a straight shave from the T&H shop.
I found some creams in the drug or grocery stores as well.

I am sure some folks from there will chime in and help out.

Have fun!

I'd hit up places like Boot's, Tesco and smaller pharmacies/chemists. They typically carry Palmolive Stick and other nice items for a mere pittance.
If I remember correctly from past posts, you might have better luck going to chemists a bit out of town in rural areas.

Great, guys. Thanks!

I think I'll browse around to see what I find, especially in smaller pharmacies. I'll also go to the big chains, maybe I'll get some clearances.

Mike, we were thinking of only bringing one suitcase for the both of us, but right now, we might take 2. Smile

Bannon, I'll watch the video later, and check for more nice ideas.

Byron, I'll try to go to the out of town areas, if I find the time. In the meantime, my wife will have to understand my need to enter every pharmacy I see along the way Biggrin

I wouldn't bother straying out of the normal areas, there's plenty to see in London without travelling around for niche shops. Jermyn St is wonderful, and there's plenty of places to spend your money.

Sorry to bring up an old thread from the dead, but a friend of ours will be there for a few days and I'd like for her to pick me up something unique. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any soaps, cremes or aftershaves you can recommend, that aren't sold here in the States?

I splurge once a year on a big family bar of KENDALLS MINTCAKE. @ $20 after shipping it's all I dare. UK
has an incredible confectionary selection. This one is
legendary. Taste what Hilary and Tenzing celebrated with
at the summit.

Thank you for the suggestion, I may give it a try if I can't find what I'm looking for.
