I ordered the Schick brand injector blades from Amazon and have had a couple packs turn out bad, all 7 blades dull.
I understand you get bad blades from time to time, but I've never experienced anything like this before. Am I just unlucky?

I have never heard of or experienced that many bad blades. What razor are you using? Do you have any pictures of the blades? I use Schick injectors and never had a problem and I have a very difficult beard.

probably unlucky.

did you contact amazon for replacements?

I've only ever had 1 dull blade in my injector blade dispenser.

I started with a Type G1 I picked up at an antique mall two years ago, and back then I ordered the Schick brand blades from amazon, a pack of 4 dispensers, 7 blades each.
Since then I've picked up five more razors, Type G6, Type I1&I2, Type J, and Type L. They're all in good shape, so the problem isn't the razors.
A few times I made the newbie mistake of loading an empty razor, and since I learned how that can ruin blades I've stopped, but still getting bad blades.

For me and it looks like it's the whole dispenser when I get a bad one. There are still 3 blades left in one of my bad ones, will check those next time I change blades. I bought these a few years ago, so haven't tried to contact the seller. I hope this is just bad luck. A newer pack I just opened started off with a good one.

Although I never experienced bad blades from the Schick brand which are made in China I guess poor quality control is at fault.

If the entire pack is bad there is a chance that the blade holder/loader itself is at fault and the blades are getting dulled as they are being loaded into the razor.

Good point. I don't notice anything wrong with the dispenser but will observe more closely next time I load a blade.

I read that when you load an empty injector there is a chance of damaging the blade. I'm not sure if I was actually damaging blades this way. The dispenser opens the razor a bit for loading, didn't look like the edge was hitting anything. The razor is definitely easier to load when there is already a blade in it.

I just cannot imagine poor quality control of a product from China.

Never tried those blades, they seem available only on your side of the pond... Sad

These are the Schick/Wilkinson blades I know, they are made in Netherlands and available in some drugstores here in Portugal...
