I spent last summer in Spain and a relative of my wife - himself in his mid 80s - handed me the brushes below that belonged to his (!) father. So I have no idea how old these brushes truly are. Certainly 40+ years.

These seem to be:
Blue Handle Horse Hair brush (17/50mm)

The Acrylic Handle brushes (15/48mm) seem unused. It is not badger for sure. Looks like boar, which would make sense, but has a feel to it that is almost "synthetic".

They are non-branded or the branding is no longer visible, but probably from Spain (Vie Long?).

Let me know, if you recognize either brush.

Probably not Vie-Longs, as I never seen a Vie-long with a metal ring. They may be from another spanish or portuguese producer that existed in the past.

Check this old Vie-Long catalogue from the 70's, perhaps it may help...
