Chagrin Valley is my favorite. A good selection of soaps that have all natural ingredients and soothe my dry skin, especially in the winter. The make great shampoo bars as well. Not cheap, but worth it to me. But don't bother with their shave soap.

L'Occitane makes great bar soaps.  Their Lavender bar is awesome.

Good Earth Spa - Dragons Blood Coconut Milk Soap with Shea & Coco Butter.  10 bars are $32.70 or $3.27 a bar with free shipping.  I have been using her soap for a couple years and would never use comercial stuff again.

Her soaps are natural and the dragons blood have an incredible scent that is hard to describe and her Sandalwood soap is 10 bars for $30.  This actually smells like real sandalwood - not like most of the shaving soaps that have a flowery smell that say sandalwood.

While Speick "Carpe diem" or some Weleda soap will do nicely, this stuff from Tremonia is truly outstanding. Wow.
"Wash&shower butter", whatever this means, I do like it.

Perfect for washing the face in the evening.

The only artisan bar soaps I've tried, is those two that Pannacrema threw in my package, when I had ordered from them directly. I was very satisfied but, unfortunately, they don't sell them. I guess that they make them as a free offer for their customers only.

Speick bar soap is excellent, with very nice scent and moisturizing properties, but I don't think we can say that it's an artisan soap.

Right, Speick is not "artisan".
I'm afraid it is much better than what most "artisans" have to offer.

Shannon's Soaps:  her Bay Patchouli Orange (BPO) is excellent.  It lathers well and smells heavenly.  Her others are also good, but the BPO stands out for me.

For those using Chagrin Valley, how long does a bar of that soap last for you?  Do you try to keep it dry between showers to make it last longer?

Mystic Water bath soaps are very good.  Gentle Oatmeal, Rose, etc. - all very moisturizing.
