Is there a chance that Razorock XXX ever makes a return to the market? I'd also like to get ideas on other soaps/crops that resemble it. I heard it was the cream of the crop so to speak.

So it appears the new XXX will have tallow? since the old was discontinued before I started this journey I take it the old was non-tallow?

Correct. The old XXX was relabeled AdP.

I'm not sure how close this new XXX is supposed to be to the original. The tallow component is definitely different but I'm not sure about the scent.

I might have to track some ADP down, since XXX was the craze when I first started wet shaving, but never got to experience it.

No, incorrect. AdP and XXX have a different ingredient list so they are not the same. They, along with Fitness and Figaro are/were made in the same factory so there are similarities in ingredients.

Many forum posters insist they are the same and Joe/ItalianBarber doesn't deny it, so the rumor snowballs.

They are similar in certain aspects, but not the same.

Ecosse, research this forum a bit. This has been answered; definitively if you ask me. AdP is aged XXX; or XXX is fresher AdP.

From this thread awhile ago; http://shavenook.com/thread-definitive-p...y-the-same. Even though it starts out looking bad for them being the same we end up getting the closest answer that we are going to get on the subject some 9+ pages later. ...

There you go , hope everything is clear now and people would realize that ARE THE SAME shaving cream , as some of us have been saying since a long time ago.Biggrin

Why did i disclose that La Famiglia are TFS soaps... because the artisan is our friend and there is nothing to hide.

Is Baby Blue suppose to be like Blue Floid... NO! But the color is blue! lol

Regarding ingredient labels from other companies... that isn't my business... my business is offering the best products I can, at the most reasonable prices I can.

Final verdict is...

XXX = AdP

... The End.

Thanks for bringing that up, but that link doesn't work for me. Try these:

http://shavenook.com/thread-xxx-and-adp-...#pid118116

http://shavenook.com/thread-xxx-and-adp-...#pid118310

To me, that's the final word. I have a small sample of AdP that is difficult to use because of the small container. Next time I break out my XXX, I plan on smooshing the AdP right on top of it before I start because, after all, there's the same.

I'll match XXX, Christmas, ABCBA and raise one more ABCDA a Cheech and a lavender!

Adding this to five tubs of TOBS and two MWF refills from Royal Shave during their Black Friday sale I'm set for the next five years when added to my existing inventory.

Ben, over 500mL of soap. I'd be interested to know the Christmas in Tuscany scent, but I don't think my nose could handle the smell of a Christmas cake.

Ronnie, over well...my head can't count that high right now from your recent acquisitions. Biggrin

Yes Ben...I had the Christmas in Tuscany in my cart and pulled out at the last moment. I enjoy food scented smellums but figured I didn't need to have a daily reminder of food this time of year.
