What is your best shaver so far. I am not talking aggressive only what gives you the closest and most comfortable satisfying results. This is my choice its my iKon standard bar. What is yours?

Cobra Classic ... although technically it's not a DE.

Amongst the DE razors, my choice would be Merkur 39C slant.

One of my favorite razors is the Merkur 45 bakelite/Astra blade....wow...may have a weird color and perhaps too inexpensive in the non cased version at only $18.00...but boy does it work...I think they used Progress geometry set at about 2 and I know they don,t really promote it (too inexpensive) but I defy anybody to say it is not a smooth shaver...an excellent starter and a great value....many of us probably have one....try it again next shave an you might be amazed at how smooth and easy it shaves...easy to clean and hold....and you can always find a black handle to jazz it up.....I,ve have spent a lot on many razors but I,m starting to appreciate this one more and more.

It varies, as my preferences change now and then, but the DE razor that's spent the most time at the top of the list is the Gladweg Push Button razor - search for a review here at the Nook.

Wow, that razor combo sounds very interesting and something I might try. Just curious if the plate in the picture is a Fatip? Doesn't look like the R41 2011 to me.
Thanks.

Haven't shaved with anything other than a straight since June, but at that time the Merkur 34C with a Feather was pretty sweet.

After everything I've tried, I still go back to my Merkur 34C HD very often... That probably means something. Smile
