Check out Barbatus Grooming shampoo and beard bars. It should knock out the dandruff quite easily.

Every now and again I'll start to feel product build up, then my scalp gets flaky. It's never a constant thing, it just happens sometimes. I think it may have been caused by the hair product I was using, I haven't noticed any flakes since I've been more proactive about the rotation and changed hair product.
For dandruff control, in my experience, nothing beats a pine tar formulation: such as CARIA bar soap from Turkey (link).
How is the smell of that pine tar bar soap?

The only shampoo my wife and I will use anymore is made by Maria Arman at Through The Fire Finecraft. We have used a bunch of different stuff over the years and agree that these are without question the best we've used. You don't even need a conditioner after shampooing; unless you just want to use one. She makes conditioner bars too for those that feel they need them; great stuff.
