So my student teaching is coming to a close, and I am looking to get my cooperating teacher a gift of sorts. He has this awful-smelling Royal Lime aftershave he loves for the skin-bracing effects, but it is just terrible. Even the students complain about the smell until it fades away.

Since he seems to prefer the lime scent, what are some good options for a gift of a Lime aftershave? I use some balms, but aftershaves are a foreign world. Geo F Trumpers extract of limes is one I hear about on occasion, but I think that is more in reference to the skin food.

Any help is much appreciated!

Queen Charlotte Soaps has a great lime balm. Saint Charles Shave has a nice lime aftershave milk.

I like the scent of the QCS better, but they are both nice products.

Captain's Choice Lime is the best I've tried, both in terms of scent and "face feel".

GFT also makes an alcohol splash version of the Extract of Limes.

I really like Captain's Choice lime as well.

I was also going to suggest the Myrsol Limon. If he likes lime he will probably like lemon. It smells like a fresh cut lemon to me and shouldn't stick around like his current splash.

I like the Taylor of Old Bond Street Collection No. 74 Victorian Lime aftershave. It is light and fresh, not heavy or musky like some of them are, and the scent doesn't linger a long time.

I forgot one! T& H West Indies Lime is fantastic. Not overpowering when applied, dries down nicely lime and faintly lingers for awhile. Another favorite

Another vote for Captain's Choice Lime.

If you like lemon, the Myrsol Limon smell like "lemon drops" (a boiled lemon candy). I love it!

IMHO, St. Charles Lime splash is the best. Inexpensive at approx. $12.00 for a 4oz Glass bottle. Great longevity !!!

Seconding this recommendation.

I found the Pinaud Lime Sec to be too candy-like.

Heres another for captains choice lime. One of the cheapest and it works great. This is my first aftershave and I'm sticking with it.
